• Dear all,

We are glad to present you with our filmed performance of "The Gingerbread Man".

To make these, we've listened to the book, we've also watched a cartoon of the Gingerbread Man, and worked a lot on vocabulary and what the characters say.

We've worked really hard and the teacher is very happy with our class, so we hope you enjoy watching us!

  • CM2 have been working very hard on creating their own town!

The town is a map that each person has worked on in a group and one that is connected to the other maps.

The map comes with written work about the buildings which are placed on the map. There are also directions that the children have to express so that you can move from one place to another place.

We have since been looking at open-ended questions - Who, What, When, Where, Why, How. The children have been answering these questions in relation to an object they have been studying.

As we approach the holidays we are going to look at some grammar so that the children can express themselves further using English language.

  • To wind down leading into the holidays and to lead into the next topic CP Anglais set about learning body parts and then applying that to some Halloween monsters. See some of their scary monsters below...

  • CM2 have been hard at work throughout the first term.

In that time they looked at forming and responding to wh- and yes/no questions, and ask for and give directions while referring to a map. They have also been working in connection with the course book Project 3, working on asking for and providing personal information, both personally and talking about others, as well as working on skills involved with listening activities.

The time has gone very quick but the students have definitely earnt their break and I'm really looking forward to getting back into it next term!

  • Where to start? It has been a busy first term in CM1, hard to believe we have finished eight weeks already!

The has so far looked at telling the time, introducing themselves and asking for and providing personal details. They have spoken about prediction in relation to what they plan to do on the weekend, and finished the term off designing an children's activity camp brochure, where they had to use their prior knowledge of asking for personal information, applying the vocabulary relating to leisure activities, and their language talking about plans and the grammar point 'has got' to design a brochure for a camp and present it to the class.

The photos of the final products are to come soon once the photos can be properly formatted for posting here.

The students have definitely earnt their break but we look forward to getting back and starting the new term!

A busy first term already gone!
