• Hello!

CE1 have been working hard since returning to school six weeks ago. The time has gone so fast!

We started the year looking at introducing ourselves, talking about our families and how we feel. We have now started working from the textbook ‘English Adventure 1’ and looking at greetings, counting from 1-15, colours, and using the numbers and colours as adjectives. There will be lots of songs and games and work to come so keep up-to-date here with further posts and photos.

    Till then

  • Welcome to CP English for 2016-17!

The start of the school year seems long ago and the students have since covered a lot.

After the initial return to school activities the students started looking at introducing themselves and saying how they feel, followed by talking about the weather and learning the seasons.

We are currently in the middle of the children’s book ‘Handa’s Surprise’. In this book we are working on vocabulary for animals and fruits, improving understanding through storyboards, and using adjectives.

The students are really working well and we are looking forward to showing off some of their hard work soon.

  • Dear Parents,

Welcome to our English blog. Here we're going to keep you up to date with what we're doing in class.

So far, we've worked on speculating about one another, but mostly on adjectives of personality and verbs to express feelings because we're about to write our own "I am" Poem. We'll try and post them here for you to enjoy!

In case you don't know what an "I am" Poem looks like, have a look here!

  • Hello!

We have been very busy in this class!

The different themes of activities have been on cities: London, Paris, New York!

The class is learning more about each city and it almost feels like travelling :)

This class is a lot of fun and they all have a lot of energy! It is a lot of fun!

  • Many projects are underway in CE1 Project class! We have talked about languages and the international dimension of our class :) We then participated in the international language day with the great language tree in the entrance.

The class then moved on to the animal theme and is busy cutting out, assembling, understanding and learning about farm animals... There will be more to come on this theme!
